Hey, from across the globe.
I'm the second from the left there. The computer won't let me upload anything else *sighs*
I'm an Australian, boot camp isn't really a big thing here, I mean we've got the army and the navy but there's not so much of a national awreness of it.
I guess because I don't know anything about it boot camp sounds so, SO, scary to me! All that discipline - eep. I guess I've never been a rebel but I've had the freedom to make a lot of my own decisions, even some bad ones.
I was really touched by your postcard, it stuck with me for a couple of days so I jumped at the chance to contribute to this blog. I live for letters (and emails) from my friends and family who are far away, I hope the person the postcard was talking to writes to you! At least know that everyone here was touched by your postcard, and we all want to ease your time at bootcamp.
uh, so I guess this is the part where I talk about me. I'm Australian as I said, I've moved around a lot but I live in Melbourne now. I work in a law firm which is pretty boring but the people are really lovely so I can't complain too much. I want to be a makeup artist and I'm doing makeup for some of my friends' films (I have a few friends who are into that sort of thing) I really love doing stuff like that, even doing makeup for my friends before we go out is really fun to me. I'm 18, which is legal drinking age here so we tend to go out a lot but I try to keep my drinks minimal - I feel like I have so much to do I can't afford to be hungover.
I am going to start some ballet lessons as I've wanted to dance since I was a little girl, even if it's not a career thing. I guess we'll see how that goes.
I'm going to sign off now, before I start babbling but I'll try to find the time to write again soon, see if I can manage a few 'letters' before that graduation of yours. We will all be there in spirit of course.
Best wishes.
Rhiiannon
